Trimurti is my favourite Indian Lunch Buffet on this strip. Never been there for a la carte but can attest to the freshness of hte lunch buffet. My wife says its a little spicy for her taste and prefers Babur, but I'd rather go to Trimurti than most Indian Buffets including Dhaba (which has become over rated IMHO)

Just got back from dinner at Trimurti after reading a number of recommendations.

I have to say, it was great. I took a friend who is a big Indian food fan, as well as my parents, and everyone enjoyed the food immensely. Decent, friendly service, excellent food, and ordering from the ala carte menu we ended up at $90 with tip for dinner for four. Not too bad for downtown Toronto.

If you're looking for a delicious Indian meal (ala carte, I can't speak to the buffet) in downtown Toronto this is a great pick.

We started with samosas and a couple of beers. They brought us these things. I have no idea what they’re called, but to our delight, they tasted exactly like Munchos, but they were about four times the size.
friend ordered the lamb marsala and I the murgh zaphrani, a boneless chicken kebob marinated in yogurt, spices and saffron, and covered in tandoori.

a perfect dinner!

So tonight I dragged my DH to Trimurti as suggested. It did not disappoint! (The service was not the warmest -- I think our server was tired or sad. But the food more than made up for it.)

I've eaten Bhindi Masala all over North America and this was the best I've ever had. The okra was cooked perfectly - it looked like they had just picked it, instead of mush. And a flavor explosion. And my DH loved his Chicken Saag; the spinach was perfect. Thanks for the great recommendation chowhounds!

My favourite Indian restaurant in Toronto.

For sure try:
Onion Bhajia (serves 2)
Pasanda (I prefer lamb as it’s not that common an ingredient)
Kulcha, Naan or Paratha – all good – choose your favourite filling
I tend to avoid Tandoori –not because it’s poor, but the other dishes are more interesting and there are many Tandoori restaurants around.

But everything is good - doesn't matter what you choose - you'll be back!
