It's a great little diner with wonderful music(usually jazz) playing. It opens at about 7:00 and closes around 5:00 or so, but has the best breakfasts and great lunch choices. In a very short time it has become one of my favorite places. No attitude either!

I second the Terminal. Closest thing to the real deal in my limited experience. Deeelish, greasy, not expensive food served with personality.

on the Danforth, A few doors east of Coxwell, on the north side. Primarily a breakfast and lunch place, they close around 6 weeknights and 4 on weekends. Great all day breakfasts and general diner food. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but you really have to see this place.

very eclectic diner-esque place that incorporates standard diner food and decor as well as Hollywood glamour photos, hundreds of vintage album covers (on the ceiling), African tribal art and other curiosities.

The service is diner-standard (harried, hurried, and chock full of "dears", "honeys" and "sweethearts").

The food is quite good and the portions enormous. Last time I was there I had the Greek omelette (spinach, feta, red onions, black olives), which came with coffee, toast, homefries and fruit -- all for about $6.50 or so. I could only eat half -- and I'm known for having a very healthy appetite!

First of all, the venue is odd. It is in fact a former bus terminal, complete with big windows all down one side that overlook a parking lot.

Then there's the food. The brown bread is real whole wheat, not the generic convenience store commodity. The fries are sweet, fresh and pleasantly lardy. And they serve some kind of monster-sized stacked French toast with hot apple slices, syrup and (in case this is not already filling enough) whipped cream on top – a sort of cube o' carbs.

As for decor, the ceiling is covered with LP album covers of the '50s, '60s and '70s. There's an over-life-sized sculpture of characters from the movie Chicken Run that apparently stood outside Graumann's Chinese Theater for the premiere, and an extensive collection of those bizarre twisty glass ornaments and ashtrays.

But what really ties the look together is the faux-'70s burnt orange, white and chocolate wall designs, and an as-if-real '70s menu board over the counter. Huh? It seems the Bus Terminal was used as a location for 50 Cent's heartwarming semi-autobiographical 2005 film Get Rich or Die Tryin', and they decided to keep it that way.
