If you have not surrendered to Chef John Lee at Omi you simply must. Omakase should be changed to Omikase in his honour. Not only is his work impeccable, he has a unique gift for knowing precisely how to please his patrons. Worth every penny you will spend. it isn't my choice when someone else is paying. I would happily pay for his offerings any day. :-)

We have often done omakase at Omi. There, for $80 you will be stuffed. It is not as upscale as Kaji, but is a very pleasant place. John is a great guy and a very talented chef. I would rate his cooked items above Kaji and his sushi slightly below. I have never left there feeling anything other than: "wow, that was great."
