This is an excellent little Turkish restaurant, literally around the corner from Donlands subway station. They serve the staple of Turkish restaurant cuisine (i.e. the Doner) but they also have so many more interesting dishes which are often not available, including: Iskender Kebab (sliced doner kebab on a bed of pita squares with tomato and yoghurt sauces), Manti (lamb filled ravioli), and Kokorech (grilled lamb innards). They have a special gas oven, imported from Turkey in which they roast the potatoes for Kumpir, which are then filled with a generous dose of butter, cheese, veggies, pickles, olives, sausage, mayo and ketchup! Ayran (salted yoghurt drink) is also available. The service is super friendly and there is a moderate amount of seating. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and was surprised to see a steady stream of customers. I was told that all of the food is zabihah and that they buy their meat from one of the many halal meat shops nearby. No alcohol is sold.
