Made the drive from Hamilton based on my brothers recommendation. It was Monday, $4/lb chicken wings. They were smoked wings with lots of sauce. Very good wings, they were not deep fried, therefore, no heavy greasy feeling afterward. Lots of flavors and most of them were very good tasting. Worth the drive.

I went with my husband a few weeks ago during the day in the middle of the week - of course it was dead, but I really liked the place. It seemed like it would be a great place to go on a Friday/Saturday night to have drinks and food. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. I ordered the brisket sandwich to "try something different" and the minute it came to the table and I saw my husband's pulled pork I knew I made a mistake! Not to say the brisket was bad - it was good - I just really wanted the pork :) Aside from the ribfests the only other place we get BBQ is Phil's and Camp 31 was DEFINITELY worth the drive.

Egad! Why have I not been to this place before? Went with two old friends last night and really enjoyed it. Thursday's special is 1/2 rack St. Louis ribs and 1/4 chicken, with baked beans and one side (coleslaw, fries, others, and my pick, sweet potato fries) for $16.99. The food was unbelievably good, and service was excellent. Another high point was my friend's pulled pork: sweet and succulent.

I have been here and well worth the trip. If you've only had their stuff at the Ribfests you'll thoroughly enjoy it since they aren't crippled by Rotary's rules and pricing. Rotary supplies the ribbers with the side dishes which are of very poor quality (huge foodservice tubs), while at the restaurant they make everything from scratch using authentic Alabama recipes.
