I love Jules patisserie for breakfast, lunch and weekend take out. By far the best croissants I've had since my days in Paris in the 80's. Best goodies to take home and AWESOME for parties; Quiches, croques monsieurs and all the cakes are YUMMY! Definitely THE BEST French pastry in Toronto. Mmmmmm.......

Just came back from Jules! I think the croissants are on a par with Celestin (my benchmark) and the pain au chocolat are better. I'll be back tomorrow morning to pickup some breads and other goods, or maybe stop by for lunch and see what savories there are.

I like the fact that Jules is open on more days of the week than Celestin.

I have to agree that Jules is excellent--but so is Celestin. Both are located at Mt. Pleasant and Manor Rd. (a couple of blocks south of Eglinton), Celestin on the north-east corner, Jules 3 stores south of Manor, also on the east side. I haven't had the same negative service at Celestin, and I like both of them.

I have to say that their croissants, brioche, and pain au chocolat are fantastic. My wife and I are now taking regular Saturday walks here to enjoy pastries and cafe au lait.
