I was surprised how many options they offered- they had photos of most of their dishes posted on the wall . It was a little overwhelming.
Iâve been heading back towards a primarily vegetarian/pescatarian diet after about a 4 month relapseâ¦decided to try their lemongrass tofu with noodles (#48) which came to just over 5 bucks. The order was ready in less than 5 minutesâ¦.and I was so hungry, I popped a piece of super hot tofu into my mouthâ¦.resulting in a minor burn on the roof of my mouth.
I couldnât really detect any lemongrass flavour- but the tofu was crispy and hit the spot. Most of their combos have pad thai- I ordered in a hurry and didnât realize what I ordered came with noodles that were panfried wheat noodles. The crispy noodles had bits of bok choi and cabbage mixed in, and they came with some marinated carrot salad and cabbage salad. I think Iâll try one of their vermicellis next time Iâm in the neighbourhood.
For a take-out meal, close to the subway, I think Ginger is a great option. 8/10
