Seniors is as old-school ugly as they come. 70s-era cheap furniture, a carpet that's seen too many winters, and not enough light.

My first experience there - a late breakfast - was unmemorable. But their chicken sandwich, on a kaiser, with minimal fixings (lettuce, tomato, mayo), rocks. The chicken is properly marinated, grilled, and moist - it actually tastes good, as opposed to the usual dry piece of white meat that needs dressing up to have any taste at all.

I've been meaning to go back for the burgers and the chopped steak. Perhaps next week...

They've been around since late 1960s. Very old-school kitsch. I was there two weeks ago. $30 got me a very nice, large boneless ribeye with fried mushrooms. Price included salad, baked potato, garlic bread, pickles, olives, cottage cheese and taramasalata. Great value. They don't ding you for the sides, they just bring them. My gf and I got out of there for $140, including a bottle of Wolf Blasster Yellow Label, a shared dessert, and tip.

I second Seniors. I have been eating their steaks for years. They will also do it up for you to go (with all the fixings). The filet is always a good choice and I would rank their steaks as up there with the better steak houses (ambience aside).

old school laid back atmosphere, decor is well almost non-existant but you can get a great top sirloin steak with salad & baked potato for about about $25.00
