Paris in Toronto! Most romantic restaurant would have to be Marcel's on King Street West. The best French food, charming and professional staff, and the old french music makes it feel like you're sitting in a warm Bistro on the Champs Elysee in Paris, gazing at the beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower while enjoying a bottle of the finest 1996 Château Lynch

Went for a business dinner with a party of 18. Superb service - our waiter was simply oustanding. Food was absolutely devine. Final bill was less than I expected. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Can't wait to go back with friends.

Came to Marcel's for a private function on Saturday booked through my office and just wanted to let Marcel's know that we had a fantastic time. We were booked for 42 people and our numbers expanded to 75. With no notice, and 33 extra people to feed, Marcel's came through with flying colors. We came for the Mother's Day menu and had an exceptional time. The food was great and the fuss that they made over my Mother (and all the Mother's there)was worth more than ten times the price that we paid. A sure stop on our next visit to Toronto.

some words on the people that didn't like marcels. I think they don't know great food when they taste it. they can't tell the difference between fast food and fresh food. we have been going to marcels for many years and i have to say we have never had a better time anywhere else.

Have been here many times over the years. The food is always simply lovely and the staff are always polite and helpful. We usually made an 8PM reso as the early seating is more for the theatre crowd and is therefore very busy. Also, like the slightly more relaxed atmosphere after 8.

I came to Toronto.com to submit my congratulations to Marcel's for the lovely lunch that I had with my mother and noticed the previous reviews. I can not speak for the 'age' of the previous reviewers but I found the Maitre D to be charming and curtious. Perhaps the French accent lead these young ' college' girls to consider him 'snobby' but I did not find that to be the case at all. Dispite the previous review, I had a fabulous time and will be back.

we attended a summerlicious lunch here last week and it caught me off guard how simple and plain this place was. right off the bat i can say that the service was terrible. we were treated like 2nd rate customers b/c we were there for summerlicious. i also felt that the wait for the food was inappropiately long as the food tasted disgusting. it wasn't too busy at that time but it seemed like everyone had to wait a while before they were served. i say, if you arne't going to appreciate the customers for summerlicious don't be part of it. it's just a waste of money and time.
