VERY poor.

Quantity does not make up for quality. Never, ever.

Not only is it not kosher, it is not even clean! The table was sticky, and the seat stained. Moved to another table, and it was loose.

Meat was dry, salty, and not well-smoked. My bubba's is much better. I told the manager I thought the food was maybe a little off, and he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. He was so rude in front of me and my son.

They are in the middle of an area where there is no competition for them, so that must keep them in business. If they had other places nearby where you could nosh, they would not last a week.

Very disapointing. Mediocre food, dirty environment. Such a negative experience.

An unpleasant experience that I will never repeat. This is NOTHING like the real Katz in NYC, where I go regularly.

They have a VERY rude and obnoxious manager, just a boor, who made me think twice about spending my money there, just for the way he was with his people. The atmosphere was so unpleasant, but I was in a rush, had to eat, but otherwise would have left. He is the sandwich Nazi, for sure.

Worn-out and tired 1980s style place feels cheap, but the food is very expensive for what you get. Dry meat with nothing. Small drink cups, no thank you, unhappy staff, (no wonder).

It was a very unpleasant experience.

My husband and i went in for our first visit, ordered our lunch and while waiting to be served heard a man speaking very sternly to an employee behind the counter. We learned it was the owner - he was beratting her and was utterly abusive - even putting his hand on her and pushing her over to what he wanted to show her and yell at her concerning. He then ushered her to the back kitchen where we heard him get even louder - yelling at this poor woman at the top of his lungs. We asked to speak to him and let him know that we were cancelling our order due to his abusive and disgusting behaviour - he went on the defensive and screamed at us as well that he didn't care and didn't want customers like us. We have both been in the restaurant industry for 15 years and never heard anyone yelled at in that manner - the man was utterly psychotic - if the staff is rude i imagine that it stems from the misery of working for that man!

It is what it is. If you want fine dining don't come here. If you want a great NYC experience, definitely do. The staff here is extremely busy, but not rude. We loved the experience (and the giant sandwiches) and will return for sure.

Good food, overpriced about $1.00 per menu item. $1.35 for a coke the size of a sippy cup.
I love the food, but the owner/relatives that work the cash register are rude,rude,rude.
No class, and they have no respect towards their hard working staff. Ever meet a very bitter senior citizen who cares about nothing you say, acts and talks like their better than you, and you are nothing to them. These are the owners of Katz. Ever meet someone who believe they could never be wrong or do wrong.

Visit monthly. Love going there. We have introduced others and they feel as we do.
Great value for money.

Diet vernors no longer available. Cadbury should be pushed to continue making it as it is a great drink for diabetics and dieters.

Run-down, worn-out 80s look, VERY expensive food and ignorant staff. VERY surly! Dirty table and the seat was broken. Small quantity of food - a $9.00 dry meat sandwich WITHOUT drink or any extras. Even McDonalds staff say thank you!

Druxys is a much better value.

Just a take-out sandwich was $8.55 - smoke meat on rye and a touch of mustard. No drink, no extras except the bag they put it in for take-out.
Meat was dry- like eating dry smoked meat and with little taste. Very expensive, very disappointing! It was definitely an experience which I will not repeat!

I have eaten there many times over the last 15 years and have taken my son's who love the corn beef sandwiches. It is my favourite place for deli especially on Friday's when they have their chicken soup

I went there yesterday for lunch with my best friend and her Husband. We each ordered the smoked meat sandwich - and an order of fries and gravy with 1 diet coke - costing us $33! The people were RUDE (every single one of them that we came in contact with), there was a fly in the fries and gravy - when we approached someone at the counter his response was "oh well it must have been flying around the dining room" - no oh I'm sorry, no nothing! Then to get the nearly $4.00 back for them was like pulling teeth!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN AND NEVER WILL I ADVISE ANYONE GO THERE !!!
