Never Going Back

This restaurant is a sham. The food is crap and the worse Chinese food I have ever had and moreover if you think this is fusion food (i.e. Indo Canadian), it is far from that. Chinese food at the mall is better. They serve a lot of quantity at very reasonable rates but the quality is a big zero. The Chicken pakoras have a heavy batter and are full of turmeric, the chicken fried rice and chilly chicken are like warmed in a microwave and served. Overall the food is Limp, tasteless & full of MSG. The staff has no customer service skills and are basically running a take out sweat shop.

This place is great, I have been eating there for the past 5 years or so and they have always been very gracious hosts. Their food is just as amazing definitely try the chicken corn soup, shrimp pakoras, manchurian chowmein among many others. Very good for those wanting to try new things and love spice ! Even if you are not looking for spicy food they have alternatives.
Definitely give it a try!

Excellent food. Maria is wonderful - the owner. I go there twice (2 times) a week. Love the chili chicken. I love everything about it. Maria sometimes gives us free soup.

One of the best Hakka food in town. However if you are planning on dining in don't. The service is terrible. Sometime they treat you as if you are a freeloader even if you eat for $100.

Excellent place for pick up. Call in 15-20 min prior to pick up.
My family and friend sat in the middle of the restaurant for 45 minutes and we still did not even got water. When we asked a waiter we were told to sit and wait, wait for how long?
Now I call in and pick up=)

sooooo delicious; atmosphere isn't great

Omg This has got to be the worst place ever,i LOVE their food but their people suck. i am a veggi, i ordered everything veggi but still i find non-veg in it. i would sue these guys if i had time because its religious thing.

anyways This palce is so bad, i call in at 3:00 PM to pick up, i reach there at 3:30 and i pay. BUT thats the time they take my order inside and start making it i had to wait 1:40 hour for my order to come finally at 4:25. I was offended to find non-veg in it when i was eating at dinner with my family. i make a vow to never eat here again. and will always tell others not to!

omg the food at ling garden is sooo good the price is amazing the serves is ok me and my family go ther once a week the food its just soo good and the price cant be beat if you are thinking of going ther hear are some of my family's faves ther also perfect for children: hot'n'sour soup,
sweet'n'sour chicken balls(kids),chicken paroka ,
chilly chicken,satia shrimp,
Singapore rice noodles,beef fride rice(kids),
house shrimp(12),crispy beef,
haka noodles(kids),mixed fride fruit n ice cream,

I was expecting authentic Chinese cuisine but realized this place
was more Canadianized serving a large Indian clientele in that area.
The dishes are generally spicy and colorful, fitting for the patrons
of that restaurant.

Could have been a great restaurant if you are looking for a Chinese
mixed Canadian cuisine, but if you are looking for authentic
cuisine, I suggest you try another restaurant pick on this site.

my favourite. it is considered one of the better hakka places in the GTA (at least for me anyways)... the chili chicken, house shrimp, and green beans combo does it for me everytime. Their chicken pakoras and manchurian vegetable balls are also great.

My family took me out for my birthday this past Sunday. So i picked Lin Gardens, since we all like Hakka and trying new things.

The pakoras were the best we've had. The Manchurian fried rice was better at Federick's. But the chili chicken was damn good.

We also got the American Chop Suey. I thought it was good, my mom being a loyalist, said Federick's is better.

The portions were bigger than Federick's and much cheaper.

So i will be going to Lin Garden's again. :)
