I use to go to the location on ellesmere but due to the awful service I stopped going there. It was soo bad that on Mothers days when we went there for lunch (10 people) they took 1 1/2 hrs to get our meals and in the ends 2 mothers came home hungry as they messed up the order. I complained to the owner but he did not care so I stop going there. This was 2 years ago so I decided to visit them in Richmind hill ...we called them before we went there..the whole place was empty one more couple... there were 4 of us ...we asked for 3 mango shakes the waiter said there was not enough mango pulp to make 3 of them he can only offer 1. The buffet is awful the food smells as if they have it there for days the same person who is cook is also the dishwasher he runs in and out doing 2 things at the same time. I will never ever go back waste of money. Moreover we all got very very bad stomach flu after eating there definitely food was stale. We were all sick for a week. This is a message for all food places - appreciate the business you people get and keep the same standards,quality of the food and service that made you popular otherwise you will not be in business.

I love Madras Palace. Service can be slow at times, when it's really busy!! But really busy is saying something about the restaurant!!

Should have listened to the other reviews. The service was passable (friendly but unhelpful). However, myself and my three friends all agreed that the food tasted rather awful. The various dishes either tasted bland or had an off-putting flavor. I saw another review that suggested that they microwave frozen dishes here, which seems accurate. Additionally, my stomach felt bad about a half hour after eating here. I recommend that you eat elsewhere.

The best Weekend buffet in whole of Toronto.Unlimited dosas,appams,pooris,Nans, kappa, puttu, and all kinds of south indian Non veg and veg items-I rate this south indian restaurant over any, anyday.Try it to believe it!

I am a big fan of Indian restaurants. This is the worst I have eaten at. Stick to Gerrard street for much better quality and value.

Madras palace USED to be good..ive been going there for over 10 years...
now the place just microwaves most of the food and it's hit or miss

Saravanabhavan at woodside mall is making some waves. Vegetarian never tasted so good. However, the place is dirty.

Madras Palace - Ellesmere East of Midland in Scarborough is outstanding.
Try the Thali - a veggie variety platter. Shrimp Curry is also amazing. We have been to this restaurant 50 times (at least) and have never been disappointed.
