this is the best and most authentic italian restaurant anywhere, with the possible exception of italy, in our opinion. the pizza is the closest to what we have had on our trips to beautiful italia and probably superior to most of that as well. each dish that we have tried in the many years that we have frequented this restuarant has been supperb. but our favorite remains, after all these years, their signature pizza. visiting camarras's is like visiting an italian relative who just happens to be an amazing cook..... comfortable, pleasant and so much delicious food. our only disappointment is that it is located in toronto and we are several miles south of rochester ny in the states. we can never visit as often as we would like and when we do, we can't manage to eat as much, or sample as many things from their menu, as we would like. on one of out visits, we discovered that the owner and her family were from a small town close to the town in which my parents were born in abruzzi. finding that out, elisa made us feel as special as family. we never come to toronto without making a trip to camarra's, and we will continue to do this no matter how great the distance. love the looks on the customs agents' faces when they realize we are carrying a stack of pizzas home with us.
