I tried Elizabeth's tonight. The food was really tasty.

I had the chicken paprikash with dumplings (aka spaetzle). It also came with iceberg salad drizzled with what I suspect was Kraft Golden Italian. I could do without the salad, so next time I'll try to remember to ask for the soup.

I'll be back to try the cabbage rolls & goulash some time soon.
Chicken Paprikash with dumplings, and a piece of cherry strudel came to $13.50 before tip. They are open from 8 to 8 during the week, but they close early Sat, and are closed on Sunday.

It is a small cafe/takeout place on the W side of Yonge, a couple of blocks N of Davisville. They serve homestyle Eastern European food at incredible prices. I had a pyrogy plate with sausage and a green salad (you can also have a cup of soup instead) for $6.95. The pyrogies were delicate and tasty, topped with an abundance of properly caramelized onions. My dining companion had a huge schnizel sandwich plate for $5.95. You have to look hard to find the place, but it's in a mini-mall where you have to take a set of stairs up to access the businesses.
