so so food and slow service

My daughters and I went for afternoon tea at the Old Mill and were very disappointed. Service was inadequate and very slow -- mostly because there weren't enough servers for the number of tables. We were served tea and then waited over half an hour before the sandwiches and cakes arrived. Cakes were nothing special. By this time, we had run out of tea. When we finally managed to flag down a waitress and got more hot water for our tea pots, the tea was ruined -- the carafes must have been used to serve coffee and the water tasted of coffee. Altogether, not worth the price.

My fiance and I both had our dinner at the bar. The decour is really nice, but the tables are VERY close together and should have had at least one less. The food was VERY overpriced, and not that great. Desert was the last redemption, but we were not impressed. We could have gone anywhere for an apple tart or a lemon square, and for half the price. The service was good, and the live jazz was nice. Overall, the food and pricing have us not returning.

wow the Old Mill still does romantic dinner & dancing nights. The Platters are performing Nov 23 & 24. The food's decent according to friends of mine that go there and other friends that perform there. I, personally, have not been.

I wanted to send my wife to the spa at the Old Mill for some time. So on her birthday I suprised her with a gift certificate for: a relaxing type of facial, manicure, pedicure and massage. When the special day came for her to go to the spa I would have thought she would be totally pampered and relaxed afterword. I was wrong, her complete day there was hurried, the estheticians seemed to be novices with her services as well as very pushy on product sales, and her massage was mundane. Money NOT well spent!

We took our daughter and son-in-law for her 50th birthday lunch. It was the first time I had been there and I thought it was a lovely place. Our waiter could not have been nicer and the food was great. We are hoping that you serve Xmas dinner as we want to make a reservation. I can't think of a nicer place to celebrate Christmas than at the Old Mill. Carol Toner

A group of us went to this place for summerlicious. We were all very disappointed with the quality of the food and service they provided. First the waiter that we had made us feel unwelcome. The quality of the food is worst than a fastfood place. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came well done. Even starter and dessert are very poorly done. The dress code in the place is business causal, but i see they allow tourist group who dine at the dinning room to wear jeans and sandals. If you market yourself as upscale restuarant, why would you do that. I highly recomment others to avoid this place.

Went to the Old Mill for Winterlicious - it felt like we were at a fast food restaurant as we were rushed between courses - three courses in one hour. The server was very patronizing - there is a fine line between being overly solicitous and being attentive to customers. My medium rare striploin was well done and the dessert of carmelized orange tart needed a steak knife to disect. I'm not sure what they were doing - it was like a stale muffin in phyllo pastry. We were very disappointed in the food. Restaurants sould be putting best fare forward to promote restaurant at Winterlicious.

My friends and I went to the Old Mills restaurant to do a site inspection and try the food before deciding to host an event for 80 people. We were extremely disappointed with the food. The tomato soup tasted like any regular can soup (paid over $6), the lamb (paid over $40) had no taste and was 'submerged' in a dark greasy sauce and topped with overcooked (oily) vegetables. This is definitely not what we expected, especially if you consider how expensive it is to eat there. If you're planning a corporate event or a wedding reception - taste the food first before paying a deposit!
