beautiful cozy Moroccan restaurantI was looking past 2weeks for a place to take my girl friend for dinner and importantly to impress her with an exotic atmosphere, we end up at WALIMA CAFE, few friends recommended that to me, everybody there was welcoming with a smile, beautiful lamps, moronccan carpets, nice painting on the walls and nice Arabic music on background, very ROMANTIC place!!! We ordered Soup(Harira) and Zaalook(eggplant) as starter then Chicken Bastilla and Berber lamb Tagine, oooohhh !!! I love the smell of the exotic spices and orange blossom coming from our dishes, we both loved every things there, we will definitely return.

verry bad costumer serviceHi when it comes to costumers service walima cafe is rated -10000 it is very bad but understandable because the guy is not trained to do this kind of job and he reflects that by the mediocre service( does t have manners) .the food is very expensive campaired to the Moroccan restaurant in Laurence and warden (tajine) the food portions are very small and you fell that the staff are bossing you instead of serving you. If you aren’t trained do not open a restaurant I will definitely recommend it to my enemy terrible experience

Who knew there was something so interesting along this quiet strip of the Danforth? Although unassuming from the outside, the atmosphere inside is warm and cozy with Moroocan decor and a tent room at the back for a larger group. The mains range from brochettes (grilled meat on skewers), to tagines served in the traditional clay tagine pot, to meat or vegetables served on cous cous. I don't like spicy food and I found the chicken tagine to be tasty without any heat. My husband loves spicy food and they served the hot sauce on the side of the brochettes so he could adjust the heat accordingly. If you're tired of Greek food, try Moroccan - there are also olives, flat breads and hommous but they use different herbs and spices so different flavours in the meals. Definitely going back.

I have been searching for a good authentic Moroccan restaurant in Toronto and FINALLY found it. Went on a Thursday night with coworkers and will be returning with friends soon.

Very tasty food- I don't think I've had Moroccan food made by a Moroccan cook before in Toronto. It was well priced and the atmosphere was a mix of casual and romantic with the lanterns hanging all around. The tent room at the back was occupied with a family and then later a couple was seated there. I would definitely go back and try something else on the menu.
