My wife and I had brunch this morning in this restaurant. Our experience was extremely poor. Despite the restaurant being half empty, we had to wait almost half an hour for our plats principaux to arrive. After a 15 minute wait when we asked the server if the food was coming soon, she did not apologize, she just said "everyone is waiting, the kitchen is very slow today". While we were waiting we reflected that perhaps the way they treat their clientiele is modelled on the stereotypical "service Parisien".

We had ordered oeufs belle-hélène and oeufs florentine. When the food did finally arrive the muffins for the belle-hélène were burned and the frites for the florentine were cold.

When the server asked us "is everything OK", I told her that we were not happy and that the food was burned and cold. She did not apologize, did not make any offer of replacement dishes or even money off the bill, and did not offer to bring the manager over to explain or apologize. There is no point in having the servers ask the question if they are not prepared to respond if there is a problem - that is catering 101.

As someone who lived in Montréal for 10 years, and who visits France regularly, I have to say that for a supposedly French themed restaurant the baguettes/rolls served at the restaurant are completely unauthentic and the coffee is very ordinary. Both tasted like they could have run out of the real thing and ordered them in from the local Tim Horton's.

We paid almost $50 for the meal. For what we received in food and service we could indeed have eaten better at Tim Horton's for a fraction of the price. We will not be patronizing this restaurant again.

lots of sweet and savory crepes under $15. Other entrees are usually under $25. Can't recall what their wine list looks like but I did have a glass of Wolf Blass Yellow Label there so it's probably not a bad selection.

I personally couldn't stand this place. Service was dreadful, the food was tasteless, the chairs were very, very uncomfortable. I know people who have enjoyed this place themselves, I just can't see the appeal.

The best french onion soup in Toronto! Great crepes, if a tad dry. Overall nice atmosphere, great for a cozy lunch/brunch!

I absolutely love their French onion soup. It's spectacular. I go there at least every 3 weeks to get my "fix". The crepes are quite good and they have a great selection of fillings. Sometimes the crepes are too dry for my taste, (so I order extra sauce or something like extra tomatoes, which are wetter in a crepe) but I'm sure some people would disagree. The service is good, there's a very reasonable Merlot on the menu and you can have a fun evening out for a reasonable price. Oh yeah, if you're a butterscotch-y person, try the sugar pie! Yumm.

You must try the French Onion Soup! One of the best I've ever had. The service was very effecient and friendly. We are always pleased with our experience and return often.

Le Papillon is one of my favourite restaurants. I haven't tried the crepes, but the French Canadian dishes are excellent (ie. cretons, tourtiere). The service is very friendly and efficient.

If you're into crépes / French Canadiana (not including Celine Dion) and don't mind uncomfortable seating (even for a normal size ass) I would recomend Le Pap for brunch or lunch.

The food was underwhelmingly mediocre from appetizers to desserts. The ambience is wonderful, though. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience.
