In our group of four everyone had a fabulous meal -- and when we had questions "Chef Alex" came out and talked to us about all the ingredients and what would most compliment each dish. He even invited us into his kitchen after dinner. Spotless, cheerful staff & so organized! What a highlight for an already delightful evening. I would recommend the Courtyeard Cafe highly for a fine dining experience. I've also been to tea there and it's a treat to savour with an elderly aunt, an employee that needs a boost or your love. All round great place!

I went with a group of 8 friends to the Courtyard Cafe last night as part of Winterlicious. Beautiful surroundings, but I believe the experience may have been compromised because of Winterlicious. Appetizer and Main course were o.k. but the dessert was superb. Wine list needs an overhaul as the prices are nonsensical (e.g. Haut-Brion '79 @ $695 but Pichon-Baron '83 is over $1000 and it was past its prime 10 years ago.) More wines needed by the glass and a full time Sommelier. When it came to the bill as there were 5 separate bills the server was EXTREMELY helpful. Unfortunately our server did not know the regular menu as he was assigned to help in the evening as part of the crowds expected as part of Winterlicious. Cabernet Franc on Winterlicious menu went well with Beef Medallion and was reasonably priced.

As part of Summerlicious, I was able to experience this fabulous restaurant! It was exquisite. The prix fixe meal included a steak/frites with haricots that was delighful. Service was a little slow at first and improved as the meal progressed. I recommend this charming restaurant for any occasion.

Despite the lovely surroundings, this place fell far short of expectations. I happened to be there for a special event prix fixe meal and it was a tremendous dissappointment. My main course arrived cold - inexcuseable when it was simply prime rib. With the exception of a nice soup it was mediocre at best. The service was uneven. The atmosphere and price demand a higher standard.
