Went for Valentines Day. Food was excellent, portion sizes were great. The cost was outrageous. $275 for three courses, one bottle of wine and tip.

My husband & I have lived in the area for 10 yrs. All the time we couldn't bring ourselves to go this restaurant because the prices seemed far too high to support the ambiance. However, we went. At first, the ambiance was so-so. But once you bite into the food, you are in heaven!! And for the atmosphere? The staff were fun and the wine selection very good. We had a great time. Would go more often if it were slightly less expensive.

When I got in there, I expected, just by the look of the place, prices to be high, and high they are. The food is excellent, ambiance is great, intimate. If it was not that expensive, I'd go there often. I'll sure go back on special occasions though. It's worth it for the quality of the food.

We waited ten minutes and were ignored, then were asked to leave the restaurant when we complained to management.

Food is excellent from the first bite to the last morsel. Service and ambience are so-so, but with this food who cares?

The food is wonderful, the service friendly and attentive. They have the best food and desserts in Bloor West Village.

The first time you enter you will think to yourself, "what am I doing here"? It's not until you take your first taste that you get it. This place is all about the food, and in that context, the ambience makes complete sense. This is a neighourhood restaurant where BWV's and food lovers come to enjoy food. The ambience is happy and cheerful and unpretentious. After you take your first bite, you'll know why.

Everything is great except that the superb food falls flat in the sparse decor. Trivial perhaps but ambience is key to harried, stressed people seeking solace in the meals.
