Fantastic lunch spotCora's is the place to go to when you want your filling of fruit. and almost every meal comes with "mountains" of watermelon, kiwi.. Most of the meals are priced well within the $10 meal range. It’s a more expensive place comparing with the other franchises (Sunset Grill, Eggsmart etc) though. great deco and color all over the place. service was ok. Overall this place is definitely worth a visit. tags: fruit, healthy

Hey, I wanted to share with you a recent experience I had at a restaurant. I'm sure you've all seen the Cora billboards almost everywhere with a lady in red serving strawberries or a lady in blue serving blueberries . Anyways, my wife and I went out to try a breakfast place. We thought we'd try sunset grill but then there was all this hype around Cora that we thought we'd check out. The greeters were friendly (almost overly friendly) and the ambiance was a cross between Denny's, St. Huberts and Kelsey's. We were seated and oddly enough they took our utensils away (they left two but not where we were seated but next to us at our table. So we got the menu.....and for a breakfast menu it was brutally expensive. French toast with butter and bacon was $8!! (fair value is $5). They were pushing their fruit drink, even the kiddy one. I figured I tried it. It was $2.75 for the kiddy. It was made of 5 or 6 different fruits. The wife ordered an omlet with potatoes and fruits. That was $9!! But after she got her order there was hair in it!! Then they asked me if I wanted canadian maple syrup which I said, sure. They brought it over and said, "Oh, by the way those are 50 cents each". I was about to say, "What the f*@#$? You overcharge for everything else. The least you could do is provide free maple syrup!!"...but since kids were around I said it in qbert language ^$Q@%*%$(#.....lol.

The food was average and the little extras like a tomato, lettuce and a slice of orange somewhat dressed up the plate. What I found disturbing was the fact that my glass of orange juice($3.45)cost more than half the price of the basic breakfast plate that I ordered! Definitely no value there and my main reason for not paying your restaurant another visit. I like orange juice with my breakfast but refuse to pay those kind of prices for it. I must pay closer attention to the menus and pricing in restaurants, it seems. Good food does not have to come at premium prices.

I was so excited to hear a Cora's was opening in Calgary and was counting down the days til it opened. Both times I went were total letdowns. First time I went I ordered a crepe. It was cold, leathery/rubbery and the fruit was tasteless. Second time I ordered an omelette and asked for no onions, but was told they couldn't do that because all the food was pre prepped. They also ran out of sides and would not substitute.

Waited 20 minutes in line, then another 15 minutes for food. Order was wrong and server did not even apologize. Just casually said some other server had taken my order ! Complete apathy for the situation.
