The prices were reasonable. For both of us, both having the PK sandwich, and a pitcher of smoothie it came to about $32.00 before tip. The service was great as well...

We just got back from lunch at "PULP KITCHEN" located at 898 Queen St. East, near Logan. We were blown away by the food!

We both tried their "PK Sandwich" which was a battered tofu, tomatoes, avocado, and cilantro lime mayo on flax seed bread. We also split a pitcher of a super healthy Omega enriched fruit smoothie.

Agreed, way overpriced! But I do enjoy the vibe and the staff. My two favs are 1) the eggless omlette and 2) the special secret grilled cheese samich with portobello mushrooms. Sometimes if it's not on special that day, they'll make it for you all special like.

Last weekend I went for brunch at Pulp Kitchen on Queen East near Logan. It's a cozy place with wood tables and dim lighting that serves up pretty tasty animal-free (vegan) food like eggless omlettes and and pancakes with cocunut banana cream made with tofu.

On this visit I settled in for the stewed beans and bangers ($9.95), a hearty portion of maple syrup-infused baked beans with veggie bangers (made with soy) topped with fresh corn chutney. It came with a side salad and toasted flax bread which I swapped for rice bread (a buck extra).

The taste? Well, basically picture Yves veggie hot dogs with some baked beans on toast. It's pretty pedestrian - I could probably make it at home - but even basic meals can hit the spot so I had no problems cleaning my plate.

Across the table, my girlfriend ordered the house-made granola ($6.25). According to the menu, Toronto Life has named it one of the best granolas in the city. And they should know, right? Anyway, they weren't far off the mark. The kitchen takes extra care topping them with a thoughtful selection of fresh fruit devoid of the dreaded, mouldy melon and offers up maple soy yogourt to make it all go down just right.

I find the food pretty good, not great - but VASTLY overpriced. The meatless burgers are stunning, though - and I'd say worth the price.

Friends & I thoroughly enjoyed the "Tuesday Dinner Event" which featured a berry-themed dinner. Who knew pasta with gooseberries could be so divine?? We love the unique take on food - Keep it up, Pulp Kitchen!

I finally got a chance to visit Pulp Kitchen for Brunch to find out - lo and behold - Ken McConnell, formerly the owner of my favourite vegetarian restaurant Imagine Cafe on Spadina is at the helm!! Fans of Imagine Cafe of long ago rejoice! He's back and making great food in a fabulous new veg restaurant! Wahoo!!!

My poopie, who is a vegetarian, introduced me to this great place -- and I love it! Even though I am not a strict vegetarian, I can always be guaranteed a delicious and healthy meal. I hope PK sticks around for a long time.

We attended the special "spring detox" meal at Pulp Kitchen last night and were treated to the best dining experience that we have ever had at this restaurant. Since they are not open many nights it was the first time that we had been there to experience the evening atmosphere - candles, dim lights, tablecloths, mellow music... Our advice to Pulp Kitchen: Do this more often! We'll be back for dinner!
