I visited on Feb 11, 2010. Winterlicious menu to try the restaurant since it was in my neigbourhood. My rating above is self explanatory. Awful service. We had to waive down a waitor to get anything.Would not recommend this poor service to anyone.AND they include a 15% tip for 2 ppl? It was totally not worth it.

I have a friend who raved about Tutti Matti, if you're looking for Italian in the theatre district. Apparently the cooking staff is recently back from a tour of Italy, and the food was fantastic and very authentic. This place is on my short list right now, but I haven't been able to try it yet.

I enjoyed Tutti Matti last year. Seems that they're doing pretty good! I remember being late for the reservation, yet they said that was okay. There was a table waiting for us while we arrived.. that's not bad at all! Service, like wordsworth said, was excellent. You definitely feel homey while there.

We started with Insalata del Matti which wonderfully tastey. For mains, the Talapia al Cartoccio, Braciola di Maiale alla Griglia were excellent as were the desserts, Chocolate Mousse, and Summer Fruit Crumble. The place is very friendly and waiters cordial. This place definitely won us over and we will be back for a regular meal.

I think this restaurant is great-the food is fresh and tasty, the prices are reasonable, and the service was very attentive and eager to please. I went during summerlicious and the summerlicious menu was huge! way bigger than most restaurants where you have only 2 choices for entrees. Also, the steak is the most authentic Italian steak I have had in Canada, and I lived in Italy so I know what Italian steak tastes like! Try this place, it has great authentic Italian cuisine, but some may not like it since Canadian/American Italian food is different from real Italian food and can take some getting used to.

I went for dinner (Summerlicious) and was offended by the aloof service, which would likely have been MUCH better if the tip was not already included. I will also be complaining to Summerlicious management, as this place seems to enjoy the full tables that comes with Summerlicious participation, but are not interested in enticing people to visit again. Grab the money and run, it seemed. I felt like a second-class customer.

I cannot believe that someone in their right mind would complain about the food at Tutti Matti! It is bar none the most authentic northern italian restaurant in the city. They serve beef carpaccio which is my favorite food in the world and very hard to find in T.O. The service is well paced and professional, again one of the rare place in this city where the waiter actually wait for you to finish your first drink before bringing food. I would highly recommend it during summer/winterlicious (if you want to avoid the crowd, go at the beginning of the week)as they have put more attention into their prix fixe menu than some restaurants put into their menu, period. Meat lovers, fish lovers and vegetarians alike can find a meal to suit their taste.
