My husband and I did Winterlicious with our 2 adult daughters at Celestin. Enjoyed the subtle, neutral decor and the service, although the Hokkaido scallop & lobster gratin that both daughters ordered were a disappointment. The 3 small bay scallops were clearly of the frozen kind and way over-cooked, ruining the meal experience for us. While the apple and raisin dessert as well as the creme brulée were good, the chocolate moelleux was disappointing.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. I have been several times and have always had the most magical, bewitching evening. The first time I went, upon entering I thought it was going to be a very uptight atmosphere because of the very high end appearance. But as soon as we were approached with warm professionalism by the staff, I knew I had discovered a gem. THEN there's the beautiful food. Pasqual's palette delights the senses on all levels. He is an artist chef who cooks with his heart and soul. I can't wait until my next experience at Celestin!!! The evening is well worth every single penny as the memories linger pleasantly on....

The food is prepared and presented for your enjoyment in the traditional French manner. Ambiance is just right, no fussy frills etc. When you choose your wine there is a relaxed discussion of your personal preferences and the merits of several choices. With the tasting of these choices your dinner experience is complete. All the staff is excellent and Martin is top noch. And there is no rush to leave. So enjoy your evening with your friends and/or family.

I have enjoyed Pascals entire wonderful menu over the past year. The presentation is a feast to the eyes and the use of fresh herbs and a unique combination of ingredients is the ultimate feast for the pallet. To finish off your dining experience please save room for dessert, they are to die for. Martin our waiter was attentive and so entertaining. The wine cellar which is the old bank vault is an adventure all its own. This restaurant is not a fast food joint, it is a place to come and relax with your friends, enjoy all that Celestine has to offer and if you are lucky get a chance to share a glass of wine with Pascal at the end of a very enjoyable evening. As for your wallet, the experience is excellent value for your money.

My first visit with friends who have raved about the Celestin food & service for ages. We LOVED it. Food was DEVINE, service was 5 Star. Everyone was super friendly & very informative (if U ask) they served some wonderful tasty dishes we had no idea what was coming,& it didn't matter. Because it was a fun experience. They also offered a wine we had never tasted before, we were all given a taste. It too was Devine. Celestin should be on the TOP of where to eat list. NO Question.. R.L.Mc
