We just went to L'Escargot (http://www.lescargot.ca/) this Saturday and it's quite the deal. You don't have to wait for summerlicious/winterlicious as the $25 dinner special is available all year through. I opted for the $25 deal while the CEO just ordered off the regular menu.

I had the escargot bourguignons and it was delicious! I loved dipping my bread into the garlic butter sauce. In fact, I would have been happy just eating that the whole night. There's nothing better than warm bread and butter :) Grilled salmon and chocolate mousse was standard, nothing spectacular.

The CEO had the French onion soup and 9 oz NY cut black angus striploin - no dessert. The soup was bit on the salty side but still good nonetheless. As for the steak, it was not good at all. However, the side of frites that came with it was crisp and flavourful. According to the posters they had outside their windows, they were a finalist for the best fries in Toronto.

The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, we had a good time.

The staff opened the restaurant on a Sunday especially for my private function. The service was excellent, and the food was wonderful! I will definitely be back.

I went there for Summerlicious with my family. The chilled soup was good but Salmon was not tasty while chicken was too dry. Overall service and ambience was fine but if you're there for food, you need to reconsider.

Escargot Bistro is a hidden gem. The food and service are great and you won't lose your shirt here. Nice place for a first date or to bring friends for a special occasion. The owner is always around to see to your needs and he's quite friendly too.

My favourite restaurant in TO! We have tried many restaurants in the city, but L'Escargot beats any of the so-called 5 star restaurants that charge an arm and a leg. We went for dinner soon after they opened and we have been going ever since. It is an all rounder and Max is the most entertaining host around. You won't be disappointed!

This North Toronto restaurant was an excellent place to have my company's holiday party in 2004. Max helped me work out the menu and make recommendations that fitted the occassion. The staff was attentive and efficient especially for such a large party of 75. The food was great. I received many compliments on the Grilled Pepper Corn Sirlion steak. Fabulous fries. I recommend L'Escargot for small and large dining occassions.

Our waiter was nice but overall we found it disappointing, and would not go back. Do not go for a special occassion as they do not add any special value to the evening.

I had just landed a job and wanted to celebrate with my boyfriend. We came here to try French wine and french cuisine. I loved the food but the service was even better. I am coming here when I get promoted ^_^.
