We had dinner there last week, can't complain about a thing - food and service were exceptional. It's a shame Bloom is not located downtown!

I also went to Bloom for Winterlicious. While it had an atmospheric potential, it was a terrible waste of money. The portions were insanely small and completely flavourless, except for the creme brulee, which tasted, well, burnt, but not much else. We were ushered in and out in under an hour. While Winterlicious may cater to a less wealthy than usual crowd, it should not be assumed that we do not know good food. Not only would I not return, I would warn others not to set foot in Bloom, ever.

I went for Winterlicious and I was extremely disappointed. The portions were small, the waiter was not friendly and they rushed us through 3 courses in one hour. The food was mediocre - and lacking in taste and quality. I will definitely not go back.

Bloom did not seem like the same restaurant that was reviewed. Did not get bread until I asked, ditto water refills and coffee was offered to one out of 4 diners. Portions quite small and at 12 bucks for a single raviolus, very pricy No starch with the mains and extortionate prices for tiny desert portions Minimal wine list. Long drive for a mediocre experience

The quality of the food was very good even if not steaming hot. My wife had the duck and it was very succulent. The sauces on the food were so good I wanted to lick the plate. The service was attentive and cordial. The portions were not big but they were sufficient. Those of you who usually go for the biggie size meals would do well to ask for extra bread. Overall, I would highly recommend Bloom for that big night out. Keep in mind that Bloom endeavors to be an haute cuisine restaurant when setting your expectations.

Funny, after reading all the reviews, I couldn't wait to go. Unfortunately, our experience was very poor. The food, although tasty, was not delicious. The waiter was so pretentious, it was scary. And the portions were terribly small. How do 2 people spend $90 (no alcohol) for appetizers and dinner and leave hungry? Even for an upscale restaurant it was very disappointing.

The restaurant itself is beautiful though I found it a little loud and noisy with a full house. Service was friendly, though not overly attentive when you wanted it I.e. water wasn't re-filled and wine wasn't topped up for us. All the dishes were quite good with the exception of a dry, hard, bland spring-roll like thing that came with the sushi-grade tuna. Also, almost all of the dishes could have been served a little hotter than they were. As for prices/value, I think it was about what could be expected and wasn't an exceptional value nor was it a rip. All in all, a nice meal.

Excellent food, small portions. Service was fantastic - great to have a nicer restaurant in the Village.

While the restaurant looks great - the food and service were so far from great it wasn't funny. The waiter was patronizing and rude. The quality of the food was okay but not great for that kind of money. We left hungry and went somewhere else for dessert.
