like Spring Rolls, is a chain of four restaurants, and like Spring Rolls, it has a smaller takeout version. In this case, the quality of food in the larger table service restaurant at 730 Yonge is superior. There is a full page of vegetarian menu selections. Green Mangoâs food is consistently good but rarely reaches a memorably excellent level. There are exceptions to this. Quality ingredients make the asparagus with roasted cashews and oranges stand out, and an Asian version of the crepe stuffed with tender-crisp vegetables and a subtle lemon sauce impresses with its originality. Itâs unfortunate that Green Mango is often overshadowed by its better-known neighbours, but perhaps its reputation is dragged down by the mediocre quality of the food from their take-out shop.

For great pad thai, my family has been going to green mango for a really long time. They have 2 great flavours basil chicken, and lemongrass chicken that we really like. There are other types too, but those are the sauces we like. You don't have to get it with chunks of chicken in it either, its cheaper if you just get the sauce.

Wow. After reading the menu, and seeing the interior, we had great expectations...that were summarily dashed by the inattentive waitstaff and sub-par food. Ugh, I was so disappointed by the coconut soup - like a bunch of mixed frozen vegetables heated in a weak, bland sauce. The tofu was mushy and tastless - I sure wish I had chosen something else last week. (This was the Yonge St. sit-down location, maybe the others are better?) Nothing like being ignored several times while your water glass is empty, and the guy keeps passing by with the pitcher...maybe I insulted everyone in the restaurant by being 5 minutes late for our reservations, and they decided to teach us a lesson.... I learned mine - don't eat there!
