The food is alright at Churrasco Villa.... BUT I have had WAY better at Churrasqueira do Sardinha on Dundas St West just west of Ossington Ave. The food there is absolutely amazing! Mind you they are mostly a take out restaurant. The owners are friendly and accomodating, even if you are ordering food for a party of more then 20 it is excellent each and every time. I orderered my daughter's communion food and everyone went absolutely crazy over the BBQ chicken, the codfish and not to mention the seafood that they prepared for us.

I live near this place, and every time my friends come over, they want to get takeout from Churrasco Villa. The food is quite good, haven't had a bad experience yet (I've ordered 10's of times over the years). Agree with some other posts that the prices have gotten a little steep for this type of establishment (there are so many in the west end where you can get more food for much lower prices), but its the only one of its kind in the area, and the prices are in no way prohibitive, just relatively more expensive.

I used to love this place before it was "discovered". It isn't always a ghost town and they don't always handle crowds very well.

The smells coming from here are amazing. The food is generally good, and can rise well above that. However, I find the chicken very dry. I'm told this is the authentic way to cook churrasco, but it used to be moister and, in my opinion, better.

It isn't extremely expensive, but it IS expensive for its type of restaurant. I once made special journeys to eat here. I still go on occasion, but only when I'm in the neighbourhood.

I used to be a regular both for take out and ine-in. I still go from time to time. Both are excellent, however, the prives are a little steep compared to the places on Dundas West. It's a bit of a fancier restaurant. The food is amazing, though. Make sure you try the drumettes, the ribs and the grilled sardines. And the amazing apple strudel for dessert... A few interesting portuguese wines!

a takeout for lunch, i recommend: Quarter churrasco chicken with rice, roasted potatoes (the fries are amazing too) and a side house salad. It comes with a aside order of piri-piri sauce (mild, medium or hot). Don't forget a Sumol!

First of all, I didn't mean to imply that Villa is fancy dining, but nothing about it smacks of fast food. It is sit down dining with table service and the food doesn't sit around. They have specials all the time that include pork chops, buffalo ribs, fresh fish. I have never had dried chicken there. I have been eating there for over 4 years and the chicken is always spiced and juicy. The same can not be said for any place I have visited on St.Clair. I hate getting dried out white meat and it happens all the time at so many restos. As well, the potatoes are always perfectly cooked. My opinion is shared with many others, so I highly recommend that readers find out for themselves. Their apple strudle when it isnt sold out is also perfectly made. There is a lot of attention to detail at this place. I will try Costa Verde as it is much closer to my home and hope that it is as good!

Have to disagree with this recommendation. I find the restaurant more fast-food than dining. I've had FAR better Churrasco at Costa Verde at Rogers and Oakwood (this is a take-out; but the restaurant next door (same name) doesn't really match the take-out). And the churrasco is really the only choice at both. Again, for a meal with menu choices I recommend Piri-Piri and, not surprisingly, the best dishes there are the Piri-Piri, but there are planty of other menu choices too.

did take-out chicken, ribs, veg, and rice for 4. delicious, but it's ridiculous to try to find a parking spot to go pick it up - not their fault, but inconvenient, no less. would definitely go again, if only to see food being cooked over real fire again!
