The menu consists of small portion hot/cold appetizers/samples, 3$ each. We had 7 for 2 and that was quite enough. Recommended are kabobs (meat, seafood) and middle eastern vegetable dishes (eggplant etc). Coffee is quite good, as it was expected from a middle eastern cafe.
If you like good jazz, this is a great place to go, as they have some of top canadian jazz musicians play in an intimate setting. Also, Monday and Tuesday are deal days when you get every 2nd dish for a loonie or a toonie respectively. Great for family get togethers.

was there with a friend. the food is tapa style which is great to try lots dishs. for fish and meat, we had the fish shish and lamb shish which are tender and flavourful.

my friend (russian) likes the herbed eggplant and he said that it tasted like he had in russia.

the pita is good and we found that it is best to eat with the vegetable dishs as they are a bit salty.

the service is prompt and friendly.

total bill comes about $30 w/o tax ( we ordered beverages ).

one last thing, this place has a nice lineup for jazz musician. my friend was excited to see one of the top musicans (won couple juno awards) is playing in two weeks.

Was at Mezzetta last night - absolutely stuffed myself! They have a huge selection of vegetarian dishes - they way outweigh the number of meat and fish - and are incredibly affordable. For two of us sharing 10 dishes with a couple of beers, it was $49 including a $7 tip! Very satisfying. AND they're cheaper on Mondays and Tuesdays.

this is a middle eastern/mediterrenean tapas style restaurant. you order and share tons of small appetizer portion dishes, about five dishes per person in your party. this allows for maximum variety. the food is really fresh and tasty. it's also unbeatably cheap - on mondays every second dish is a loonie i think, or a toonie - i forget. but really cheap. the ambience is kind of "lived-in", but it makes for a relaxed, "lipsmacking, elbows on the table" type mood. go if you like good food, not ambience. it won't impress a first date, but good once yo've landed her and just want to eat.

I was there a couple weeks ago and my husband and I were impressed by the mezzes (Middle Eastern tapas), . the food is tasty and they have a delightful sangria. Good selection and a good price too.

The food at this resto was very yummy and made all the more exciting by the chance to sample many different things. I thought some of the veggie dishes were repetitive (mostly the same ingredients combined or cooked in a slightly different way), for ex. two eggplant-tomato based dishes. But this was forgiveable since everything was so tasty. The restaurant is very small and and because it has a good reputation can fill up very quickly. Note, that they do serve alcohol and host musical performances in the evenings.

I havent been to Spain, so I have nothing to compare it to. My husband and I both like Mezzetta and thought it was great.. And the prices are reasonable.
various small dishes (dips, salads, kebabs etc...) for $2.95 each (or less if you get 10/15/20 etc.) Also it's buy one get the next for $1 on Monday nights.
