We went to this restaurant because of the good reviews but were very disappointed. The service was the worst I have ever had. When we went there at 8 pm there was no one else in the restaurant and the woman (I think she was the owner) still wouldn't let us sit where we wanted because 'it was still early'. We only had the option of a high table with stools or a table near the door. No one else came into the restaurant the rest of the time we were there except another couple who appeared at 8:30. She told them they were closing at nine. When we were first deciding what to order she came over and asked if we were ready three times even though we obviously were not. And after getting our meal, even with no other customers she never came over once to see if we needed more water etc. The food was just OK and definitely not worth dealing with service like that.

i work by this restaurant and i dine there regularly. the particular meal i posted was from my anniversary dinner this past sunday. we drove all the way from brampton to eat at alegno. it is a small restaurant with a warm and beautiful décor. the food is to die for. i think i have had almost everything on the menu and i have been amazed with everything. the service is always perfect...did i mention that the food is to die for? this is by far my favorite place to dine.
