As a vegetarian it was unfortunate for me to find no meat-free dishes on the menu. However, the first time i went about 3 years ago, they accommodated me by doing the rice wraps with grilled tofu and greens. I've been going back ever since for what is now the meal i 'treat' myself with. When you see that platter coming get ready to eat. Big portions. Mi (not Mimi!) is awesome and knows her regulars well. She is super friendly and goes out of her way to help make your visit a good time. Highly recommended.

fantastic food, super cheap.

Always fresh ingredients. Try the BBQ pork evrmicelli and beef pho - both are the very best in the city.

this is one of great bargains in the city. order a platter of rice roll-ups, and down will float an enormous tray laden (depending on the combo you order) with those transparent wrappers, succulent tiny sausages or shrimp on sugarcane (which you remove to eat) marinated beef or pork, fresh sprouts, carrots zuccini, lettuce, fresh mint and basil, some vermicellli with peanuts and sauteed green onions.

Roll another one. You will have a hard time spending more than $12 as you waddle away from the table. Beer available. It's clean.

Also great pho and a curry chicken soup that's tasty and packs a punch for around 6 bucks. BTW that's homemade stock you're eating.

fatty beef pho is deadly good and very spicy. Can get really busy and a little slow at peak dinner hours, but worth the wait.

I prefer the broth at Mimi's, it seems more flavourful than that at Pho 88, but both are good. mimi's spring rolls weren't as good as 88's. Will go there again for the pho for sure!

Mimi's for the do-it-yourself platters -- Can't remember what it's called on the menu, but order the assorted with the shrimp wrapped around the sugar cane. The platter comes with the rice paper wrapper that you have to wet down then roll up with the herbs, vermicelli, lettuce and assorted meat. It's great participation food and fun.
