I have had the opportunity to visit 3 of their locations.
Dufferin and Dundas seams to be the best, more efficient, more professional and better quality of food.
St.Clair, the newest of the 3, the up keep of restaurant needs to reviewed, and quality of food needs to be greatly improved (food cold, warmed up, not fresh)
Mississauga is poorly managed, very unprofessionals serves with a "no care attitute". At the Mississauga location in 2 different occassion i order Grilled Bacalhao with potatoes in both cases the cod was still frozen in the center,when brought to there attention no apoligy given, no compensation given even after having to eat after the rest of my group.
I love eating fresh Carne Alentejana, i took the effort to ask waiter if it was fresh and if it was the real deal, it was confirmed that it was fresh; on arrival it was noticeable that that was not fresh, the meat had been warmed up with a sauce to tried to hide the precooked taste, smell and was served with rosted potatoes(this is to be served with cubed fried potatoes)
I have given this establishment multiple opportunities.....and have been disappointed ...........I will not return

this is one of my usual spot. I come here for the grilled chicken with rice and potatoes, and a bottle of Aveleda vinho verde (only 7% alcohol, excellent for midweek).

Bairrada only in the summer. It gets reeeally hot inside and it's just not that nice - food is good but not good enough to justify the atmosphere inside.

It's cheap, though; grab a beer and an awesome bifana sandwich for around $10.

Last time I was there with the inlaws, we wanted to sit outside and the waiter seemed absolutely pissed off; kept insisting it was going to rain. "You can't come in if it rains! No room! Don't say I didn't warn you!" ...Not a drop hit through dinner, a couple glasses of wine and an espresso spiked w/ Maceira.

Bairrada on college, I'm behind that suggestion. Portuguese people love this place, so if it's good enough for them, its good enough for me. If you go there on the weekends, they shave fresh bbq from the spit.

The shrimp is also great, and its a fairly large portion.

That's my favourite. Much prefer it over Amadeu's in Kensington (although the Kensington atmosphere is a plus). Patio at Bairrada is great. Fab fish.

Anyone looking for an utterly delicious Portugese meal would be well advised to try Bairrada Churrasqueira!

We made our way over there last night for dinner. On our way through to the back patio we passed the open kitchen serving up plates full of wonderful grilled meats, rice, veggies, and fish.

After a short wait for a table outside we sat at one of the picnic style tables. The patio is absoluttely bustling with waiters zipping back and forth, arms full of teetering but completely licked clean plates. The open patio is indeed gorgeous with a back garden and water feature.

For the meal itself we started with a plate of Portugese cheese and olives sprinkled with black pepper, deep-fried calamari, and flaming smoked Potugese sausage. For the main course, we split the shish kabob-a grilled skewer of very tender and so flavourful beef, chicken and pork with onion and red bell pepper.

We washed it down with a pitcher of Stella-fitting for a hot Canadian summer night on a patio-and still the bill in total was less than $50!

There is definatley a reason why you have to be prepared to wait for a table at this place but it will be a well rewarded one that won't take a toll on your pocket!

The food is good, not expensive, lots of locals and families, and one of the nicest backyard patios in the city. I ate there recently....had the grilled halibut and a glass of red. With tip it was about $25.

Purely by co-incidence, I took a group of nine Irish (me too)friends there a couple of weeks ago and we all had a had a great time. The Portuguese wines are underestimated and worth trying. Roast suckling pig was on the menu that night - I had dropped in a day before to check - and it was excellent. We were beautifully looked after for the evening in a side little room to ourselves by a delightful young Brazilian waitress. Not gourmet, but at $12.50 for a main course, including everything, great value. To top it all off, we each got a hug from the waitress on the way out, and that never happened to me at North 44! I have to admit we were all old enough to be her father / mother, but who's complaining? A great evening all round.

We have also eaten at this restaurant. The food is typically Portugese and very good and reasonable. When you see Portugese as clientel you know it must be good, I think.

Love it! The best grilled chicken I've had outside of Portugal. Two half chickens with a bottle of Avaleda vino verde is less than $40 -- it's gone up; it was $30 when we started going there. The patio in the back is wonderful (they have big screen TVs outside!) and it's where we had dinner on one of those steamy nights last week. Make sure you ask for the piri-piri sauce -- it's awesome.
.I ate at Bairrada and at Perigee last week and I loved them both...both are excellent at what they do...
