they have fabulous fish and chips, with homemade tartar sauce, garlic mayo, curry sauce. My fave is the salmon. It's great to take out and eat at the park across the street.

Besides places in England and one wonderful restaurant in my home town that got torn down, nowhere makes better fish and chips! The prices are average for this type of thing--my only objection being that tartar sauce, garlic mayo and things like that cost extra. The staff is friendly, forward and funny--at least in my experience.

Another thing that marks Chippy's for me is the fact that it sells Coke in glass bottles. Some people say you can't tell the difference. They are wrong.

Chippy's on West Queen West is just too salty for my taste, but where else can you get salmon perfectly battered on what must be a pound of fries for under $10? I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Chippy's, but if you're in the area... :)
