I don't have to talk much about the food since others already had.
as pricewise, Main courses range from $13-$20. A three course dinner without wine would cost about $40 per person. They also have a multi-course tasting menu at $38 per person.

At Linda's try the sift-shell crab, duck breast in red curry, cornish hen thai style (and pig out on the 'salt' that accompanies it), guinea fowl with basil - and many more (e.g. more traditional such as beef Panang). They even serve foie gras with lychee sauce (although I think the aforementioned dishes are better).

linda's is above salad king and they serve essentially the same menu but one is uber trendy cafeteria style (designed by toronto's hottest designer duo right now) and the other is a sit down restaurant. more expensive but still ridiculously cheap.

salad king is fantastic but just a whole different type of atmosphere.

Last Friday, I went to Linda's, the fancier upstairs portion of the very popular Salad King Thai restaurant. I had been there before and enjoyed it enough to go back. I never thought that it was anything special. It sure ain't cheap.

Our meal was incredibly, uncommonly good. We had the fish curry. I don't remember exactly what they called it, but it was under the "chef recommends" section of the menu.

It was phenomenal. It was a bubbling bowl of beautifully intricate brownish curry; full of very interesting flavours. I spotted a star anise, and detected a hint of sweetness that added some very fine balance. The fish itself was turbot, fried to crispy, then finished in the curry sauce. The dish also featured okra, which I have never cared for due to its sliminess.

We also had the Pad Thai, which was good. Soups were also quite good. But the fish curry was worth the trip.
