Since Via Oliveto closed, I went next door with a couple of girlfriends. High expectations because it always seems busy, but everything was mediocre. Service was laughable.
We had to ask 2 people before our server took our order and there were only 3 people working on the floor, 2 servers and the host. The pizza was ok. Greasy, but very thin crust. My friend's seafood pasta looked good tho.
The food was passable, I just wish the service was more attentive! Plus we waited FOREVER for the food, while people that ordered after us were served pronto!

I love Serra, which is on the north side of Bloor, just west of Spadina. It's Italian. The food isn't fancy, but it's always delish, and the service is pretty good. It's also not too pricey, is open for lunch during the week and has enough variety to please family and less adventurous friends without boring the repeat visitor. There are also a number of fun shops nearby to look in before-hand.

I always enjoy coming here. The seating is tight, but the food is wonderful and delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone!

We have been regulars for 10 years. The beef tenderloin melts in your mouth, grilled calamari appetizer is wonderful and gnocci is rich and delicious.

The service is impeccable. The Risotto needs some work to be a true "risotto," but the Seabass special was perfect.

This place has become our regular spot for birthday dinners. The food is great and so is the service. Definitely recommend this place!!!!

Having moved out of the neighbourhood after a good 5 years as a regular at Serra, I make every attempt to revisit one of my all-time favourites and one of Toronto's best-kept secrets. Calamari are steller, and everyone to whom I've recommended them agree. Pastas are always top-notch with sinfully flavourful sauces. Great place to go for everything from light fare (pizzas are done to perfection), to any need-to-impress occasion whether it be relatives, a first date, or business associate (entrees NEVER disappoint). Needless to say, Serra has won me over. Love the location and size of the restaurant - small enough to afford privacy; not caught in the 'hustle and bustle' of busier intersections. Keep it up!

My Aunt took me to Serra for the first time last week... The pasta I had was one of THE BEST I have ever had. I've already been back and plan on going again very soon.... Highly recommended.

We love this place. Have gone there for almost 10 years and great food, good value, the angel hair & chicken pasta is our favourite! :)
