I've tried Xacutti a few times and the surroudings are nice with the menu not really Indian at all but is quite good. Their brunch menu is a little larger than most places with a lot of interesting choices.
You can check out the menu here: http://www.xacutti.com/site/xacutti.html

Absolutely tremendous place.....Indian Fusion fare. Service is above and beyond....made for a FANTASTIC eve. Loved the robust flavours of all our dishes (Rabbit Tikka was killer!) Upscale clubby/hip vibe.

Xacutti is excellent indian fusion. The experience as a whole is a bit higher end than Verveine. Both are well regarded although Verveine is a bit more of a neighbourhood place.

Just so we're clear though, the 2 are not at all near each other - they are at opposite ends of downtown.

Only had dinner there once, but we all enjoyed it very much. While there is an Indian influence, you're better off if you don't expect authentic Indian cooking. It's really just a rather hip restaurant serving decent "fusion" cuisine. I hear the brunch is great, but have never tried it myself.

Xacutti has these amazing Cardamom Biscuits and an out of this world Cheesey Souffle Omlette . My partner preferred the coffee (Americano) at Xacutti.
But last time we were at Xacutti at 11:30, they had run out of the biscuits; and we've also found if we deviate from our specific menu preferences there(Biscuits, Omlette, Banana Brule French Toast)some of the other food is more ordinary. And by that, I simply mean not worth lining up for outside in the winter.
