Dr G's is my go to spot whenever I'm in Bloor West Village.
The staff are friendly, the food is consistently great and
the portions are big.

Visited for Dinner a nd found the friendly staff very helpfull.
I ordered the dinner special, which came with a GREAT Salad & my
wife had the NY Strip Steak which she greatly enjoyed!
Delicious, Big portions & 15 Beers on Tap.

the name struck me as offensive. Dr. Generosity. but having tried it now twice for dinner, I'm pleasantly surprised. Haven't tried lunches there but if they keep their dinner standards up at noon, should be good. Huge helpings, reasonably priced, decently cooked.

The name really is odd! But generosity is right, and the quality is good and dependable even if the food is not spectacular. They also subscribe to the byow. Their corkage fees were $1 in mondays, $2 on tuesdays and $10 on wednesdays, and then regular $15 the rest of the week. I haven't seen those signs up lately so wonder if these still stand?

Keep an eye on their "specials" board: there's always something good on it.

And if you ever see the chocolate chip french toast stuffed with peanut butter special, get it! Trust me on this one.

I'm a fan of Lisa's egg special, which has cream cheese and Polish sausage mixed in with the eggs. Mmm-mmm good.

The club and sweet potato fries are also good.

Consistency is one of the main ways I rate a restaurant. It's important to set a certain standard and continually live up to that standard one's set. Dr. Generosity is one of the rare places I've found that does just that.

Since the first time I walked through the door a couple years ago, I've found it a hospitable place with a great menu. Add to this the friendly Doctor, Dr.G, who really cares about how his restaurant is run.

Their menu has a ton of variety, for kids, vegetarians, for everybody. My fav is their lunch menu (really a brunch menu) that lasts until 3pm on weekends. I usually show up with about 10 minutes left and chose from a tuna melt deliciously made with apples or my regular, Eggs Dostoyevsky (Eggs Benny but with Salmon). With a side of salad and lemon basil sauce, and a tiny cup of fruit salad, it's definitely a generously-sized meal, and always made with fresh ingredients. The Caesar's with horseradish are made just right too, every time.

Dr. Generosity is right in my neck of the woods, and I really like going there for lunch/dinner. Give the portobello mushroom sandwich a shot. The other kind of caesar they serve there - the salad - is great, too.

Unfortunately, the prices are the one thing that don't stay consistent at Dr. Generosity - every time I go back, they've gone up. Otherwise, awesome place.

Absolutely amazing food, and the service was equally as great. It's a family friendly restaurant, and the owners know how to take care of the kids. It is also amazing for adults to come in and have a drink from the neverending list of beers and wines. Brunch on Saturday and Sundays is most definatley the best in the entire city. You have to go in and check it out!!

Real big portions and good food. The prices aren't bad and it's got a good atmosphere.

I ordered the Thai Sesame Chicken Salad and it was incredible!!! I was also pleased with the draft selection. Dr.Generosity might want to consider adding Amsterdam Blonde to their list though ;)
