Lime Gateau

Seven layers of spongecake, each indiviually baked. The dough of the top and the bottom layers is slightly different than the inner layers (with a little bit of green food color). The gateau was mounted with three different fillings: Lime custard, green lime jelly and a coulis of caramelized green lime. The outside was frosted with a lime panna cotta.

The inspiration for this gateau was a recipe of a classical hungarin Dobos-Torte, which is a multi-layer cake with buttercream and caramelized nuts. But I wanted something a little bit more fruity.
