Lentil Pot

I'm not really sure if this looks appetizing or not ;)
1 & 1/2 cups green or brown lentils
25g butter or margarine (butter is better makes the lentils creamier)
2 red onions chopped
1 large carrot chopped
1 turnip chopped
2 celery sticks chopped
2 zuchinni chopped
2 & 1/2 cups stock
salt & pepper
bouquet garni
cover the lentils in boiling water - soak for an hour, then drain
melt butter/margarine - fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes
add stock, lentils & bouquet garni, season
bring to boil & simmer for about 20 minutes (or until vegetables are tender) and the lentils have absorbed most if not all of the stock
remove bouquet garni & stir through chopped parsley
season again if you feel its needed
serve with crusty bread (or grilled cheese sandwiches as I was asked to)
