Heat 3 tbs extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan, add 3 sliced spring onions - fry for about 3-5 minutes on medium heat. Meanwhile rinse 1kg frozen peas under running water. Add to pan and reduce heat. Cook peas for roughly 30 minutes, if the pan gets too dry add 1/2 cup of water at a time (the intent is to get the peas to a stage where they are soft & almost mushy), then add 3 litres of water, bring to the boil, add a small pasta (about 400g) - I used risoni as that was all I could find. Cook pasta until al dente - serve drizzled with some more oil. If you would like more broth just reduce the amount of pasta.
