fantastic!
You need heavy duty foil for this.

*Slice up your veggies and add a little oil or fat of some kind along with some salt & pepper. wrap it all up in an envelope style package with a crease in the top to test/open. We recommend using mushrooms as they release a bit of water which can speed up the cooking of the taters. Cut your taters small so that they can cook in a reasonable time.

*Place double wrapped package on top of your engine block and wedge into place with wads of foil. We used the same wads over and over again.

*Get into your car and go on your trip. Test your veggies about forty minutes into steady driving. Be careful, the steam will make the package puff up and you do not want to burn yourself when opening. Also, the engine block will be HOT..

*Pull into a rest stop, take out your hot veggie pack and enjoy your lunch!

*Save any foil that did not get ooey and use for your next meal.
