Roasted pumpkin / curry soup (since pumpkin is not as flavorful as the butternut squash I usually use, I added a touch of carrot as well). The curry is what my friend Liz brought back from Zanzibar. That was a real test of the stain-resistance.

Mushroom and onion frittata (made with a splash of truffle oil. I'm putting truffle oil in everything these days).

Japanese salt pickles (thinly slice vegetables, salt and squeeze between two bowls for six hours; rinse).

Boiled peanut salad with red onions (white would have been better, but I didn't have one), jalapeƱo and cilantro.
