Every year a soup kitchen is held in St Helier's Royal Square. Unlike more traditional soup kitchens it doesn't serve free, simple soup to homeless people though.
The Soup Kitchen features soups from the best chefs in the island including those working at 5 star hotels, those with mitchelin stars and those working for the islands Governor.
All soup is £2 for the soup and a piece of french bread and every penny raised goes to the Shelter Trust and in turn to provide a bed and meals for homeless people in Jersey.
