I cooked up a mean bean stew the other night and enjoyed it with a killer shiraz. Good times.
Dead simple to make: Boil up some harricot beans until they're quite tender, fry up some chicken, sausage and pork chops in flour and olive oil, add some onions, garlic and a bit of tomato paste, chuck the beans on top, cover in chicken stock and a splash of red-wine vinegar, and then bash it in the oven for a couple of hours. Yummo!
