dinner on Friday. Jeremy came over to have dinner with Sam and me, and I made us a big steaming pot of mussels with a tomato garlic stew base. Served up with some warm, crusty french bread and tall glasses of Duvel Belgian beer. Mmm.
The best part? Mussels are fairly inexpensive, even the sustainable varieties. With about 15 mussels per person, a bowl of the tomato garlic vegetable base as well, crusty bread, beers, and even chocolate cake for dessert, the whole meal was about $10/person. And with plenty of leftovers! :) Take that, recession ;)
