Silky smooth Edamame puree soup ($5.95)
Starting our meal we were served a viscous pale green warm puree of edamame which was great as it combated the cold we stepped into the restaurant from. Not pipping hot, I found it easy to dig into although a little grainy/gritty. It was almost like having fresh soy milk, near the dredges, where the particulate matter end up tickling your throat.
(Notice the spoons - my dining companion was taken aback by them, while I noted that this is a new presentation using them for me, as I've normally seen them with hor d'oeuvres or holding encapsulations to which my dining companion noted "I like encapsulations." Ha ha. Random.)
