seared tofu sandwich with glazed radishes

radishes and baguette from the prospect park farmer's market.
the tofu was seared in olive oil with salt and pepper, then set aside. when cool, cut on the bias and sandwich on a baguette with mayo and sriracha.
the radishes were trimmed and halved, then warmed in olive oil. just as they started to brown, i added a bunch of water, a little bit of red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper. then i stirred it through and brought it up to temperature. when the pot was boiling, i turned down the heat and sprinkled everything with sugar. then i cooked it down until the liquid was almost gone. add a few chives and voila! the radishes should be cooked through but not mushy.
