Heirloom Tomatoes

Heirloom tomatoes from the Torrance Farmer's Market. I believe Colleen said the brownish tomatoes to the left are "Black Knight" tomatoes. The tomatoes to the right are Green Zebra tomatoes. Technically, Green Zebra tomatoes are not heirloom tomatoes — Green Zebra was bred by Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, and first introduced in his Tater-Mater Seed Catalog in 1983. Green Zebra tomatoes have a good flavor and they are a choice tomato for colorful salads or as a slicing tomato
