Share on TwitterWhile entranced by this beautiful chimney, I suddenly saw the pattern--leaves of three! I was surrounded by poison oak. Did I touch them!? I'll find out tomorrow...
These are the ruins near my home of a mental institution that burned down in the 1930s. I always wonder how many people lived and died there, what their lives were like. It is beautiful here, at the foot of the San Gabriel mountains. I hope that, in this place, they found some solace.
