Share on TwitterAka Tofurkey Roast. I had one of these in 1998, and vowed never to have one again. I thought that they were a bland and gelatinous goo from hell. How times have changed! These are lovely, moist, salty creations from cruelty-free heaven.
Not much of a recipe to roll with here:
Buy the small tofurkey roast in a box
Thaw for 24 hours
1 medium potato
4 baby carrots, halved lengthwise
1/4 large onion, chopped in large pieces
5 cloves of garlic
baste:
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp parsley
1/4 tsp sage
1/4 tsp oregano
cut up veggies, put under tofurkey in casserole dish.
baste it.
bake at 350 for 1 hr 15 mins with casserole cover on
baste it again
bake at 400 for 15 minutes with cover off.
