Buttercream Rolled Fondant Flavored with Saffron...with a candied cinnamon pecan.

Really easy recipe:
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 vegetable shortening
Dash salt
4 threads saffron
2 # powdered sugar.

Note: Combine all ingredients cold. Freeze your rolling pin also.

Mix together shortening and corn syrup. Add salt and sifted powdered sugar a little at a time. Add saffron. Beat until stiff.

Roll out on cutting board dusted with more powdered sugar. Work fast- if it becomes warm it will melt and you will have a mess.
